Q: What type of surface can I stain? A: FolkArt® Stains were developed for wood, but can be used on most porous surfaces.	Q: How can I achieve a deeper stain color? A: For a deeper, richer stain color, apply stain, wipe in the direction of the grain, let dry for one hour then repeat. Continue this process until the desired color intensity is reached.
Q: Do I need to sand my surface before I stain it? A: FolkArt® Stains apply best to a smooth surface. For best results, sand the surface in the direction of the grain. Wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth before staining to remove any residue left from sanding.	Q: Can I use a fan or hair dryer to speed up the dry time between coats? A: Air drying is best for the FolkArt® Stains. If a hair dryer or fan is used, the wood may warp. Using cold air can create a milky finish and can cause the color of the stain to change.
